About the role
The Superintendent HSE Management System is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving Integrated Management Systems covering ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SMKP Minerba, Contractor Safety Management System (CSMS), and Corporate Safety Management Standards across operations and business partners. This role supervises the effective implementation of occupational health and safety programs, controls safety performance measurement, and ensures compliance with regulatory obligations and management system requirements.
Key responsibilities
Implement Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health programs and Safety loss Control programs to prevent occupational illness and injury, ensuring health hazards are identified, evaluated and controlled
Control and optimize safety performance measurement through management of leading and lagging indicator data to produce accurate, relevant, and timely analysis for management decision-making
Analyze and evaluate OHS data, including incident investigation results and safety statistics, to identify risk trends, ensure control effectiveness, and improve safety management system maturity
Supervise, coordinate, and ensure effective implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of Integrated Management Systems covering ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SMKP Minerba, CSMS, and PJO/Safety Officer Performance Management
Plan, organize, coordinate, and conduct internal audits, compliance audits, contractor audits, site assessments, management system evaluations, and assurance activities
Monitor, assess, evaluate, and verify compliance with applicable legal requirements, permit conditions, corporate standards, and management system requirements
Develop, monitor, analyze, and communicate HSES performance indicators, management system performance metrics, compliance reports, audit trends, and contractor HSE performance
Coordinate, monitor, and verify implementation of the Contractor Safety Management System including contractor risk classification, qualification, prequalification reviews, mobilization requirements, and performance monitoring
Coordinate and administer HSES Management System software platforms including and other supporting systems
Develop, maintain, review, and control the HSES Legal and Compliance Obligation Register covering regulatory requirements, permits, licenses, standards, codes of practice, and company requirements
About you
Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Occupational Health & Safety (K3), Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Quality Management, Business Management, or other related disciplines
Master's Degree (S2) in HSE Management, Management Systems, Quality Management, Environmental Management, Risk Management, Engineering, or related field is an advantage
Lead Auditor Certification for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SMKP Minerba, or equivalent management system certifications is preferred
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in mining, mineral processing, smelter operations, oil & gas, heavy industry, or other high-risk industries
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a superintendent, advisor, lead auditor, or management system leadership role
Proven experience in developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving Integrated Management Systems (IMS)
Hands-on experience managing ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SMKP Minerba, and Contractor Safety Management Systems (CSMS)
Experience coordinating internal audits, external audits, certification audits, regulatory inspections, and management review processes
Demonstrated experience in contractor HSE management programs, compliance monitoring, corrective action management, and continual improvement initiatives
Sound understanding of mining regulations, occupational health & safety regulations, environmental regulations, and Good Mining Practice requirements
