About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive HSE Staff to join our Health, Safety and Environment team in Cibitung, Bekasi, West Java. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring our manufacturing operations comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations whilst fostering a strong safety culture across the organisation. As HSE Staff, you will be responsible for monitoring, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the facility. This role is essential to protecting our workforce, safeguarding our operations, and demonstrating our commitment to responsible business practices within the mining, natural resources, and energy sector standards applicable to manufacturing environments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular health and safety inspections of manufacturing facilities, workstations, and equipment to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with Indonesian regulations and international best practices

• Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, document findings, and recommend corrective and preventive actions

• Provide health and safety training to employees at all levels, including induction programmes, toolbox talks, and specific hazard awareness sessions

• Monitor and maintain records of occupational health and safety performance metrics, including incident reports, near-misses, and safety audits

• Support the implementation of environmental management systems and ensure compliance with environmental regulations

• Collaborate with department managers to conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies

• Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, reports, and records required by regulatory authorities

• Promote a positive safety culture by encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives and continuous improvement programmes

• Liaise with external regulatory bodies, emergency services, and health and safety consultants as needed

What we're looking for

• A qualification or certification in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), or a related discipline

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a HSE or similar role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Strong knowledge of Indonesian health and safety regulations, labour laws, and environmental standards

• Excellent understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation methodologies

• Proficiency in documenting and maintaining HSE records and creating reports

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to train and engage employees at all levels

• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving

• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams

• Fluency in Indonesian and English (written and spoken)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Preferred experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or other environmental management certifications
