Job Description:
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences using a play-based learning approach.
Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that supports children’s social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development.
Use play, exploration, storytelling, music, movement, sensory activities, and hands-on experiences to support learning.
Observe and document children’s development, interests, strengths, and areas for growth.
Adapt learning activities based on individual children’s developmental needs and interests.
Encourage children to develop independence, confidence, curiosity, communication, and positive social skills.
Establish positive relationships with children and provide consistent guidance and support for behaviour and routines.
Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding children’s learning, development, and wellbeing.
Maintain accurate records of observations, learning progress, and classroom activities.
Participate in school events, professional development, meetings, and other school activities as required.
Follow School policies, safeguarding procedures, health and safety requirements, and professional standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
Previous experience teaching or working with Nursery/Early Years children is preferred.
Strong understanding of play-based learning and child-centred approaches.
Good knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate learning practices.
Able to plan creative, engaging, and hands-on learning experiences.
Patient, nurturing, warm, and responsive when working with young children.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Able to observe children carefully and use observations to inform learning.
Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Able to work collaboratively as part of a diverse and professional school team.
Experience with an international curriculum or IB Early Years/PYP is an advantage.
