Social Media Intern

Overview

We seek a creative and proactive Social Media Intern to join PointStar’s growing team.

This role focuses on building our presence on TikTok, Instagram, and other emerging platforms, driving engagement, and supporting the launch and growth of new business initiatives.

As a Social Media Intern, you will work closely with the marketing and business development teams to create content, grow our community, and ensure our brand voice is consistent and innovative across channels.

Job Description

1. Content Creation

   1. Brainstorm, script, and produce engaging short?form videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels.

   2. Design and schedule Instagram posts, stories, and carousels to highlight products, services, and culture.

   3. Repurpose content across other platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, etc.).

2. Channel Management

   1. Plan and maintain the social content calendar aligned with PointStar’s campaigns and new business launches.

   2. Monitor trends on TikTok and Instagram to create timely and relevant content.

   3. Respond to comments and direct messages, engaging with followers professionally and authentically.

3. Brand Growth

   1. Support new business initiatives by promoting campaigns, events, and thought leadership on social channels.

   2. Collaborate with internal teams to highlight success stories, client testimonials, and behind?the?scenes updates.

4. Analytics & Reporting

   1. Track performance metrics (views, likes, shares, engagement rate).

   2. Provide weekly insights and recommend improvements based on data.

Requirements

1. Passionate about TikTok and Instagram trends and social media culture.

2. Basic skills in video editing (CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Rush, or similar).

3. Creative storytelling ability with an eye for design and detail.

4. Excellent communication skills in English.

5. Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks.

6. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and take initiative.

7. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

8. Have your own transportation to travel.
