System Programmer

About the role

PT Utopia Kuliner Indonesia is seeking a talented System Programmer to join our growing technology team in West Jakarta. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical system infrastructure and development projects. As a System Programmer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the systems that power our culinary business operations. Your expertise will be fundamental to ensuring our technological infrastructure remains robust, efficient, and scalable as we continue to expand our services across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement system software and applications to support business operations and requirements

• Write, test, and maintain clean, efficient code for system-level programming tasks

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system-level issues and performance bottlenecks

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems administrators, network engineers, and application developers to ensure seamless integration of systems

• Perform system maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure optimal performance and security

• Document system designs, code functionality, and technical specifications for future reference and knowledge sharing

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices

• Monitor system performance and implement optimisations to enhance efficiency and reliability

• Support the deployment of applications and systems in production environments

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

• Proven experience as a System Programmer or in a similar role within the software development or IT operations sector

• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, or similar system-level languages

• Solid understanding of operating systems, computer architecture, and system design principles

• Experience with database management systems and SQL

• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or SVN

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication abilities and capacity to work effectively within a team environment

• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments is highly desirable

• Experience with cloud platforms or containerisation technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes is a plus

• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and secure coding principles
