About the role

We are seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our dynamic team at PT. Bamboo Lab Architect in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. This is a full-time position based in our Central Lombok office, where you will play a pivotal role in conceptualising and executing interior design projects that reflect our commitment to creativity and sustainability. The Interior Designer will be integral to our design process, working collaboratively with architects, clients, and contractors to bring compelling interior visions to life. This role offers the opportunity to develop your design portfolio whilst contributing to projects that make a meaningful impact within our community and beyond.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing creative interior design concepts and mood boards that align with client briefs and project objectives

• Producing detailed design drawings, floor plans, and 3D visualisations using industry-standard design software

• Conducting client consultations to understand design preferences, functional requirements, and budget constraints

• Sourcing and selecting appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, and furnishings that complement design schemes

• Collaborating with architects and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of interior design with structural elements

• Managing project timelines and deliverables whilst maintaining quality standards

• Preparing detailed specifications and design documentation for contractors and vendors

• Conducting site visits and inspections to monitor implementation and resolve design issues on-site

• Staying current with interior design trends, materials, and sustainable design practices

• Presenting design proposals to clients and incorporating feedback into design iterations.

• Good command in English.

What we're looking for:

• A diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related design discipline

• Proven experience of 5 to 8 years working as an Interior Designer in a professional design practice or architectural firm

• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D visualisation tools

• Strong conceptual thinking and the ability to translate client needs into compelling design solutions

• Excellent knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, and their applications

• Demonstrated understanding of spatial planning, colour theory, lighting design, and ergonomics

• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders

• Project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality design outcomes

• Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly design practices is highly desirable

• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Indonesia is advantageous
