About the role
This role involves assisting with the preparation of ingredients (mise-en-place) and production of pastry, bakery, dessert, and decoration products according to recipes and company standards. You will ensure the quality, taste, appearance, and consistency of every product produced, while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key responsibilities
Assist with preparation of ingredients (mise-en-place) and production of pastry, bakery, dessert, and decoration products according to recipes and company standards
Ensure quality, taste, appearance, and consistency of every product produced
Operate and maintain pastry kitchen equipment safely and correctly
Maintain cleanliness of work areas and storage spaces, and comply with sanitation and food safety standards (HACCP / Food Safety)
Assist with management of raw material stock, including checking expiration dates and storage (FIFO/FEFO)
Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure efficiency and smooth daily operations
About you
Minimum education: SMK/D3/S1 in Hospitality, Culinary Arts (Culinary/Pastry Art), or related field
Experience in similar positions (Pastry/Bakery) in restaurants, cafes, bakeries, or hotels (strong internship/apprenticeship experience considered)
Understanding of basic baking techniques, dough and batter preparation, cream, and basic decoration
Good knowledge of kitchen sanitation and food safety
Meticulous, good physical stamina, and able to work under pressure and shift schedules (including weekends/holidays)
High motivation to learn, creative, and able to work independently and as part of a team
