Product IT BA

Position Summary

The Product IT Business Analyst plays a dual role in driving the success of the company's software products by combining product expertise with business analysis capabilities. This role is responsible for understanding market and customer needs, presenting and demonstrating products and solutions, gathering and analysing business requirements, and translating them into functional specifications for the development team.

The ideal candidate possesses strong communication and presentation skills, understands software development methodologies, and can effectively bridge the gap between customers, business stakeholders, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Product Management & Solution Presentation

• Develop in-depth knowledge of the company's products, services, and industry solutions.

• Conduct product demonstrations, solution presentations, and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to prospective clients and internal stakeholders.

• Understand customer business challenges and recommend suitable product solutions.

• Support pre-sales activities by working closely with the Sales and Technical teams.

• Assist in product positioning, feature prioritisation, and product roadmap discussions.

• Gather market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitor analysis to recommend product improvements.

Business Analysis

• Engage with stakeholders to understand business objectives, operational processes, and system requirements.

• Conduct brainstorming sessions and requirement-gathering activities.

• Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for improvement through technology.

• Document Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Specifications (FSD), User Stories, Process Flows, Use Cases, and Acceptance Criteria.

• Translate business requirements into clear and detailed functional specifications for software development teams.

• Work closely with UI/UX designers, developers, QA engineers, and project managers throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Review and validate proposed technical solutions to ensure alignment with business needs.

• Manage requirement traceability and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.

Product Development Support

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and product refinement sessions.

• Prioritise product backlog items together with Product Managers and stakeholders.

• Assist developers in clarifying business requirements during implementation.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, validating system functionality, and coordinating business users.

• Verify delivered solutions meet business requirements and acceptance criteria.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary liaison between business users, customers, Product Management, Development, QA, and Project teams.

• Facilitate discussions to resolve requirement gaps, conflicts, and implementation challenges.

• Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their business goals and operational needs.

• Communicate project updates, product enhancements, and solution recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Product Owner, Functional Consultant, or similar role.

• Experience in enterprise software, SaaS products, ERP, CRM, Supply Chain, or business applications is an advantage.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.
