We are an established shipping line company committed to operational excellence, cost efficiency, and high service standards within the maritime industry. We are looking for an experienced, strategic, and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to lead and manage procurement activities across the organization
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the company’s business objectives.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring efficiency, compliance, cost control, and timely delivery.
Lead supplier sourcing, evaluation, contract negotiations, and commercial discussions to achieve optimal pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
Build, maintain, and evaluate long-term strategic relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Manage procurement budgets, conduct cost analysis, and ensure expenditures remain within approved budgets.
Identify, assess, and mitigate procurement and supply chain risks, including price volatility, supply disruptions, and logistics challenges.
Oversee the RFQ/RFP process and evaluate supplier proposals based on commercial and technical criteria.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, internal controls, applicable regulations, and industry standards.
Develop, review, update, and enforce procurement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, service, and delivery.
Lead, supervise, coach, and develop the procurement team to achieve high performance and accountability.
Work closely with Operations, Technical, Finance, Logistics, and Store departments to ensure procurement planning supports operational requirements.
Prepare, analyze, and present procurement performance reports and KPIs to senior management, including strategic insights and recommendations.
Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and procurement efficiency across the organization.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
Minimum 5–8 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably within the shipping, maritime, logistics, or related industry.
Proven experience in managing procurement teams and leading procurement strategies.
Strong knowledge of vessel supplies, marine spare parts, technical procurement, and ship-related purchasing.
Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Proven ability to negotiate commercial terms and manage supplier relationships effectively.
Experience with ERP systems and/or procurement management systems.
Strong skills in procurement reporting, documentation, budgeting, and cost analysis.
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
Strong understanding of procurement controls, compliance, and risk management.
Highly detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
