Freelance Jewelry Designer
Type: Freelance / Per-design, ongoing Rate: (≈ IDR 140,000 per design)
Estimated volume: ~10 designs/month (≈ IDR 1,400,000 per month)
Location: Remote
We are launching a fine jewelry brand built around lab-grown diamonds, 14k solid gold, and minimal, "modern heirloom" design — pieces meant to feel timeless, warm, and quietly luxurious rather than trendy. We're looking for a designer who can translate that sensibility into clean, wearable, technically sound pieces.
What You'll Do
- Design fine jewelry pieces (rings, earrings, and multi-stone/cluster settings) based on creative briefs and reference direction from the brand
- Produce accurate, production-ready CAD files for each design
- Iterate based on feedback (stone placement, proportions, band thickness, setting style, etc.)
- Ensure designs are technically feasible for casting in 14k solid gold and setting with lab-grown diamonds
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience designing fine jewelry (not costume/fashion jewelry)
- Proficiency in jewelry CAD software (e.g., Rhino + Matrix, JewelCAD, RhinoGold, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of stone-setting techniques (prong, pavé, bezel, cluster settings) and how designs translate from CAD to physical casting
- Ability to work from mood boards / reference images and interpret brand aesthetic accurately
- Reliable communication and ability to turn around revisions within an agreed timeframe
- Portfolio of past jewelry design work required
Deliverables (per design)
- Final CAD file (format to be agreed — e.g., STL/3DM)
- Rendered previews of the design (multiple angles)
- Any technical notes needed for manufacturing (stone sizes, metal weight estimate, setting type)
Compensation
- ~IDR 140,000 per design
- Estimated ~10 designs per month, with volume flexible based on collection needs
- Payment terms: Monthly via invoice
