Chief General Service

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief General Service to join PT Tokyu Property Management Indonesia on a full-time basis. Based in Jakarta, this role is pivotal in overseeing all general services and housekeeping operations within our properties. As Chief General Service, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance and guest satisfaction across all facilities. This position is integral to our mission of delivering exceptional property management services and ensuring an outstanding experience for all building occupants and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all housekeeping and general services staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures

• Develop and implement comprehensive cleaning and maintenance schedules across all property areas

• Monitor and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the facility

• Conduct regular inspections of all spaces to ensure compliance with quality standards and health and safety regulations

• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment and materials, ensuring cost-effective procurement

• Train, supervise and mentor housekeeping staff to deliver consistently excellent service

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and coordinate with maintenance teams to resolve issues

• Prepare reports on service performance, staffing levels and budget utilisation

• Liaise with guests and building occupants to address concerns and ensure satisfaction

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficiency measures

What we're looking for

• Minimum 7 years of experience in housekeeping or general services management, preferably in a hospitality or property management setting

• Proven leadership experience managing teams

• Strong knowledge of housekeeping standards, cleaning protocols and health and safety regulations

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively

• Proficiency in property management systems and cleaning technology

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards

• Ability to work flexibly, including potential weekend and evening shifts

• Knowledge of sustainable and environmentally friendly cleaning practices is advantageous

• Experience with budget management and cost control is preferred
