Requirements:
Minimum Senior High School (SMK) or Diploma (D3) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in coal handling operations, bulk material handling, or power plant field operations
Strong understanding of coal handling systems, including conveyors, stacker & reclaimer, crushers, feeders, and coal bunkers
Good knowledge of coal characteristics, material flow, spillage control, and fire prevention in coal handling areas
Familiar with power plant safety systems, including Permit to Work (PTW), Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO), and working at height procedures
Ability to read and understand basic equipment drawings, operational flow diagrams, and SOPs
Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Physically fit and able to work in hot, dusty, noisy environments and rotating shift schedules
Basic English communication skills are an advantage
Job Desc:
Operate and monitor coal handling facilities to ensure continuous, safe, and reliable coal supply to the boiler in accordance with operational requirements
Perform startup, normal operation, load adjustment, and shutdown of coal handling equipment following approved SOPs and shift instructions
Conduct routine field inspections of coal handling systems, identifying abnormalities such as belt misalignment, blockages, spillage, abnormal vibration, or overheating
Monitor coal flow, coal size, and equipment condition to support stable boiler operation and minimize disturbances
Perform housekeeping activities in coal handling areas to prevent dust accumulation, spillage, fire hazards, and unsafe conditions
Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities by coordinating with maintenance teams and assisting during breakdowns and shutdowns
Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations, including PTW, LOTO, confined space, and working-at-height requirements
Operate and monitor dust suppression and fire protection systems in coal handling areas
Record operational data, inspection findings, and shift activities in log sheets and reporting systems
Communicate effectively during shift handover to ensure continuity of operations and awareness of plant conditions
Participate actively in safety meetings, toolbox talks, emergency drills, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational reliability and safety culture
