Portfolio Controller (Hotel & Hospitality)
We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Controller to oversee and optimize the performance of our hotel portfolio. This strategic leadership role represents the owner's interests by conducting portfolio-wide performance reviews across Finance, Operations, Sales & Marketing, and Business Development to identify potential issues early and maximize business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and evaluate the overall performance of multiple hotel properties.
Conduct regular portfolio performance reviews across Finance, Operations, Sales & Marketing, and Business Development.
Analyze hotel financial performance, including Revenue, GOP, RevPAR, ADR, Occupancy, and Budget Variance.
Evaluate pricing strategies, sales performance, marketing effectiveness, and the hotel's competitive positioning to drive business growth.
Assess hotel operator performance against Hotel Management Agreements (HMA) and Franchise Agreements.
Identify business risks, operational gaps, and improvement opportunities.
Evaluate expansion, renovation, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) proposals.
Support hotel pre-opening activities, rebranding initiatives, and new property development planning.
Collaborate with hotel operators, Finance, Internal Audit, Legal, HR, and General Managers to ensure portfolio objectives are achieved.
Conduct benchmarking across hotel properties to identify best practices and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree from a reputable university.
Proven experience in Hotel or Hospitality Industry as a GM Hotel, Director of Operations, Area/Cluster Manager, or Hotel Controller.
Strong understanding of hotel financial performance metrics, including P&L, GOP, RevPAR, ADR, Occupancy, and Budget Variance Analysis.
Experience working with international hotel operators such as IHG, Accor, Banyan Group, or other global hospitality brands.
Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking capabilities.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in both written and spoken English.
Willing to travel frequently across hotel portfolio locations.
