Mandarin Teacher

We are expanding our team and seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Mandarin Teacher to join our school team on a full-time basis at our Surabaya campus. As a Mandarin Teacher, you will play a vital role in developing our students' language proficiency, cultural understanding, and communication skills. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' educational journeys and their appreciation for Chinese language and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Mandarin lessons at various proficiency levels

• Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum materials and teaching resources that align with educational standards and student needs

• Assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their learning

• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and language practice

• Incorporate communicative language teaching methods, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum coherence and contribute to the broader educational objectives of the institution

• Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with best practices in language education

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature, preferable from overseas university

• Professional teaching certification or qualification in Mandarin language instruction

• Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese with fluency in English; additional languages are a plus

• Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience, preferably in international or multicultural schools

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for building positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families

• Proficiency in using technology and digital tools to enhance language teaching and learning

• Demonstrated ability to create engaging, interactive lessons that motivate student participation

• Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing educational priorities and student needs
