  • Minimum 15 years of relevant oil and gas industry experience, with substantial experience in development and/or production geology.

  • Strong experience working with producing fields and field development projects.

  • Demonstrated experience in well planning, well correlation, structural and stratigraphic interpretation, reservoir mapping, and geological modeling.

  • Experience identifying and maturing development drilling, infill, sidetrack, recompletion, and workover opportunities.

  • Strong understanding of reservoir characterization and integration of geological, petrophysical, production, pressure, and reservoir engineering information.

  • Experience supporting drilling operations and conducting post-well evaluation.

  • Experience contributing to FOP/POD, reserves assessment, annual work programs, or similar field development activities.

  • Experience with mature-field redevelopment and production optimization is strongly preferred.

  • Experience with both elastic and carbonate reservoirs would be an advantage.

  • Experience with Indonesian oil and gas assets and the Indonesian regulatory/PSC environment would be a strong advantage.

Job Descriptions

  • Perform integrated geological evaluation of producing oil and gas fields using well, log, seismic, production, pressure, surveillance, and other available subsurface data.

  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of reservoir structure, stratigraphy, depositional environment, facies distribution, reservoir quality, fluid contacts, and compartmentalization.

  • Build, update, and quality-control geological frameworks and static reservoir models to support development decisions.

  • Perform well correlation, structural interpretation, reservoir mapping, thickness mapping, property distribution, and volumetric assessment.

  • Integrate geological interpretation with reservoir engineering and production data to identify remaining hydrocarbon potential and development opportunities.

  • Generate and mature new well, infill drilling, sidetrack, recompletion, and workover opportunities.

  • Provide geological justification and risk assessment for proposed development wells and intervention activities.

  • Participate in well planning, including target definition, well trajectory evaluation, landing-point selection, reservoir penetration strategy, and geological prognosis preparation.

  • Provide geological support during drilling operations and participate in real-time well evaluation and geosteering activities where required.

  • Conduct post-well evaluation and integrate drilling results into geological models and future development plans.

  • Work closely with reservoir engineers to ensure consistency between geological and dynamic reservoir models.

  • Support preparation and updating of Field Development Plans (FDP), Plan of Development (POD), annual work programs, reserves/resource evaluations, and subsurface development strategies.

  • Identify subsurface uncertainties and risks and recommend appropriate data acquisition or surveillance programs to reduce uncertainty.

  • Evaluate historical well performance and subsurface information to identify bypassed or remaining hydrocarbon potential, particularly in mature fields.

  • Participate in technical reviews, peer reviews, reserves evaluations, and internal assurance processes.

  • Prepare clear technical reports, maps, presentations, and recommendations for management and other stakeholders.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level geologists and contribute to strengthening the overall subsurface capability of the organization.

  • Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants, contractors, partners, and government/regulatory stakeholders when required.
