About the role

Liuli Mandarin is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mandarin Teacher to join our secondary education team in Serpong Utara Banten. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in developing students' proficiency in Mandarin language and fostering an appreciation for Chinese culture. As a Mandarin Teacher, you will be instrumental in shaping the linguistic abilities and cultural awareness of secondary-level learners, contributing directly to our institution's mission of providing comprehensive language education.

Key responsibilities

1. Develop and deliver engaging Mandarin language lessons that align with curriculum objectives and cater to various proficiency levels

2. Assess student progress through examinations, assignments, and oral evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support learning

3. Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and cultural engagement

4. Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and resources that incorporate both traditional and contemporary teaching methodologies

5. Incorporate Chinese culture, traditions, and customs into lessons to enhance cultural competency and language acquisition

6. Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate interdisciplinary projects and maintain consistency across language programmes

7. Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding academic progress and attendance

8. Participate in professional development activities and stay current with effective language teaching practices

9. Support extracurricular activities such as language clubs, cultural events, and Mandarin competitions

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Mandarin Language, Chinese Studies, Education, or a related field

2. Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at secondary level, preferably in Mandarin language instruction

3. Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (Simplified or Traditional characters)

4. Strong command of English language skills for effective communication in a diverse educational environment

5. Teaching qualification or certification such as TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent Mandarin teaching credentials

6. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities

7. Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and digital learning platforms

8. Passion for cultural exchange and promoting Mandarin language learning

9. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously

10. Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practice
