Commis Cold Kitchen

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cold Kitchen Cook to join our culinary team at a casual restaurant in Uluwatu, Bali. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality cold dishes such as salads, appetizers, dressings, and platters. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assemble a variety of cold dishes, including salads, appetizers, cold seafood, dressings, and garnishes, according to recipes and presentation standards.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation at all times.

• Ensure all food is prepared and stored according to food safety standards and restaurant guidelines.

• Assist in maintaining stock levels and inform the chef when supplies need replenishing.

• Follow mise en place guidelines to ensure readiness for service.

• Support the kitchen team by assisting in other areas when needed.

• Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.

• Uphold hygiene and safety regulations, including proper handling of knives, equipment, and ingredients.

• Assist with daily cleaning tasks and closing procedures in the cold kitchen section.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in a cold kitchen or restaurant setting (preferred but not required—training can be provided).

• Basic knowledge of food preparation, kitchen hygiene, and safety standards.

• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

• Basic English speaking skills required

• Strong attention to detail and passion for creating visually appealing dishes.

• Fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
